Since its inception, my firm, Brown, PC, has provided experience and mentorship to law students through our internship programs. In an effort to continue to give back, Brown, PC is offering the following scholarships to second or third year full-time U.S. law students:

Sutliff & Stout, Injury & Accident Law Firm – Law School Scholarship

Overview: The student will write an essay answering the question: Why do you want to study law? The most compelling and articulate writer, as judged by the staff at Sutliff & Stout, will receive $1,500. Eligibility Rules: Applicants must be enrolled or accepted into an ABA accredited law school in the United States as of the fall 2020 semester. Sutliff & Stout, Injury & Accident Law Firm – Diversity in Law 

Overview: To do our part towards promoting diversity within the legal profession, we are offering an annual $1,500 minority scholarship to be put towards legal education costs. We are asking applicants to write an essay answering the question: How will your law degree help your community? To qualify, candidates must be accepted to, or currently enrolled in an accredited law school or paralegal program. We are excited to tell you that we’re offering a $2,500 scholarship to a  student interested in or currently studying law. Here are the scholarship details. Eligibility Students must be a legal US resident, and either a current (1) law student at an accredited U.S. law school, or (2) undergraduate student at an accredited U.S. college or university who has applied to or plans on applying to law school. If you already have a full academic scholarship, you are not eligible. Deadline: May 31, 2020.

For the past four years, BARBRI Law Preview has used this scholarship to honor and recognize 10 entering law students who seek to use their law degree as agents of change.   The scholarship’s overwhelming popularity and the exposure it received from various outlets prompted us to expand the financial award in 2020 to $23,000: – First prize = $10k scholarship – Second prize = $5k scholarship – Eight Runners-Up = $1k scholarship

All scholarships are paid directly to each recipient’s law school on August 1, 2020 as a credit towards their 1L fall semester tuition.

Our firm recently launched an annual scholarship opportunity for students who are planning to pursue a law or public policy career focused on disability advocacy. It is called the “ABC Law Centers Disability Advocacy Scholarship,” and is open to undergraduate, graduate, and law school students. The winner will receive $1,000. All details may be found here.
