SBA Seeking Class Senators for Part-Time Students and 2L Class

Your Student Bar Association is looking for three additional students to join its ranks as Class Senators to serve on the SBA General Assembly for the 2014-15 school year. Elected SBA members are the leaders of Akron Law and are a vital part of making our school into the best institution it can be. The Part-Time class currently has two open Senator positions and the 2L class has one. The Part-Time Senators can be any level in law school, and all part-time levels are encouraged to apply.

Pursuant to SBA’s new Constitution, students interested in joining the SBA General Assembly must notify the General Assembly of their intention to be nominated. At a meeting of the SBA Full Council, interested students will present briefly on their qualifications and the General Assembly will vote on its choices. The Secretary of the Executive Board will announce the results shortly after.

Interested Part-Time students can notify Part Time Class President Yaneth Baez and interested 2L students can notify 2L Class President Rich Freeman. Students can also notify the General Assembly of their intention to nominate themselves by e-mailing UAkronSBA@gmail.com. All notifications to SBA should be made no later than Tues. Oct. 7 at 5pm!
