Our next free Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE) clinic is Saturday, February 22! We’re very excited to be providing opportunities for ex-offenders in Summit County to take a step toward gaining employment and independence!

We are looking for students to volunteer from 12:15p-4:45p on Saturday, February 22. The clinic will be held at Open M, 941 Princeton St, Akron. The time you volunteer can be applied toward your graduation requirement as pro bono limited means hours.

There will be a volunteer training on Friday, February 21, 5-6:15p at the law school. The time you’re at training will count toward your pro bono limited means hours as well. 1Ls are welcome to attend this training and volunteer at the clinic!!

One of A Kind Pet Rescue is a non-profit organization founded in November 2005, and is funded by private donations. The organization is dedicated to saving animal lives, rescuing pets in imminent danger of euthanasia, spaying/neutering and adoption of homeless animals into appropriate, loving homes.

SBA will be having a General Assembly Meeting on Friday from noon-1p.m. in room 214.  We will be discussing the details of the upcoming public interest auction and barrister’s ball.  Chipotle will be provided.

There will be a volunteer training on Friday, January 24, 5-6:15p at the law school. The time you’re at training will count toward your pro bono limited means hours as well. 1Ls are welcome to attend this training and volunteer at the clinic!!

Moot Court Honor Society Welcomes Attorney Clair Dickinson

 Please join the Moot Court Honor Society on Wednesday, November 13 from 5:15pm-6:15pm in L-152 as we welcome Attorney Clair Dickinson to speak about appellate practice. Mr. Dickson is a widely respected partner in Brouse McDowell’s appellate and litigation groups and a former Ninth District Court of Appeals Judge. The meeting is open to all students but mandatory for Moot Court members.
