The Law Association For Women Presents: Representations of Female Attorneys in Pop Culture: Fact or Fiction?

Join LAW for our second discussion forum to explore the concept of sexualized advocacy, its glamorization in serial crime dramas, and its feasibility as a practice technique. This Wednesday, February 8th at 12:15pm in Rm. L-167. Background materials will be emailed to LAW’s members list and available at the forum for reference.

Help Needed Night of Auction

-students interested in helping with various tasks the evening of the auction can contact Melissa Marino at marino87.m@gmail.com.  If you are not an SBA representative or Officer you can can earn pro-bono credit for general community service.

SBA Annual Public Interest Auction Saturday February 4, 6:00 PM Student Union Ballroom A.

There will be light Hors D’oeuvres, vegetable trays, cheese trays, and a dessert table. There will also be a cash bar serving wine, beer, water, and soda.

The auction will consist of a silent auction, live auction, and a raffle drawing.  Tickets are available in the student lounge from 9:00-6:30.  Auction tickets are $7.00 in advance, $10.00 at the door.  Raffle tickets are $3.00 for one or $4.00 for 10.  You do not have to be present at the auction to win.

Moot Court Honor Society will be having the first MANDATORY training for the spring semester Wednesday, February 1 at 12:15 in West Hall 206.  We will also be discussing the events for the upcoming semester including training dates, the internal competition, and volunteering with Law and Leadership Institute.

The ILS will be having their first meeting of the semester today, Monday, January 30, at 6:00 p.m. in L-167.  Topics to be discussed include:  (1)  the trip to the International Law Conference/Job Fair in Washington D.C.; (2) other potential events for the semester; (3) Jessup for next year; and (4) general elections in the next coming months.  Food will be provided.
