Enrollment Blocks for Academic Overload

Full-time students are permitted to register for a maximum of 16 credits and part-time students are permitted to register for a maximum of 10 credits for a fall or a spring semester.

Permission to overload requires an AGPA of 2.50 or higher and permission from the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs which must be requested using this form: http://www.uakron.edu/law/students/studentservices/docs/Transfer_of_Graduate_Credit_Permission_Form.pdf.

FOR STUDENTS WHO DO RECEIVE PERMISSION TO OVERLOAD… YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER YOURSELF FOR THE COURSE OR COURSES WHICH WHICH THROW YOU OVER THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED LOAD.  You must email Liz Sauders (sauders@uakron.edu) the course(s) and class number so that she can override your load requisite.

Graduate Seminars in Mediation Training During Winter Intersession – Tentative Information

Law Students:

Many of you are interested in taking the 2011-12 Winter Intersession graduate courses offered through the Center for Family Studies.  Current issues with Akron’s computerized class schedules is not allowing for more information at this time, however the tentative information below may be helpful.

Law students wishing apply these credits toward the juris doctor degree must receive permission to enroll and transfer either 1.0, 3.0, or 4.0 credits.  The Transfer of Graduate Credit Permission Form is located at http://www.uakron.edu/law/students/studentservices/docs/Transfer_of_Graduate_Credit_Permission_Form.pdf. 

(NOTE:  Transfer of these mediation courses does not apply to joint degree students in the JD/MAP, JD/MPA, JD/MTax, JD/MSM-HR and JD/MBA programs.)

MAY 2012 Graduation Applications Due November 1

 All students planning to graduate at the end of the spring 2012 semester must complete a graduation application no later than Tuesday, November 1. Late applicants will need to obtain their dean’s permission and pay the $100 late fee.

Law students must apply for graduation through ZipLine. Step-by-step instructions are available on the Graduation Services website.
