PIABA Beckley Writing Competition
The PIABA Foundation is hosting a law student writing competition on September 17, 2021 5pm. The 1st place winner received $1,000 and their paper is published in the PIABA Bar Journal, the 2nd place winner will receive $750 and the 3rd place winner will receive $500. Pro Bono Limited Means opportunity to volunteer!
The law school clinic is offering an opportunity to assist clients who face eviction or have other housing issues. Volunteers will interview and advise clients who have been referred by Community Legal Aid Services, Inc. All client contact will be by telephone. If interested, you must attend a training on Friday, September 24, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. The clinic will follow from 2:30-4:30 p.m. The training, and clinic, will be in person.
