Each year, the Equal Justice Works National Advisory Committee presents eight law students throughout the country with a Regional Public Interest Award. Chosen for their innovation, impact, and commitment to public interest law, each of the students selected is recognized for providing extraordinary service through clinics, volunteer work, internships, and more. Recipients of the Regional Public Interest Awards will receive a $250 cash prize and a commemorative plaque.

The application is open through March 20^th and can be accessed on the Equal Justice Works website. Selected awardees will be notified by early April.

Akron Bar Foundation Fellowship Program (the “ABF Fellowship”):To apply, students must submit an application to the Career Services Office at lawcareerplanning@uakron.edu or by hard copy by Friday, March 22, 2019.

A committee will review applications and a student will be selected before the spring term is over

Law Clerk position would begin as soon as possible and continue during the summer. Duties: Legal research and drafting memoranda on a variety of topics, including but not limited to, employment law, transportation law, and business law. Assist with editing of standard forms and drafting contract amendments. Gather data regarding best practices and efficiencies for legal operations. Support legal and compliance processes.

Qualifications: Must be a 2L or a PT 3L with at least 9 months until graduation.
