ASP Workshop: Getting Ready for Exams and How Law School Exams Are Graded

Please join ASP for a special session on how to prepare for law school exams and how they are graded.  The workshops will be held 10/2 (5-6 pm) for evening students and 10/3 (1:10-2:10 pm) for day students in Room 301. If you would like to get the low down and skinny on how to prepare for some of the biggest tests of your life, please join me!  To RSVP, please email Mrs. Palmer-Schmitz at dpalmer1@uakron.edu. Seats will be allotted on a first come, first served basis.  Space is limited, so reserve your seat early!

Fall 2012 Exam Schedule

We are receiving many inquires about the Fall 2012 Exam Schedule and wanted to post an update for everyone.  We are currently in the process of preparing the Exam schedule.  As indicated in the Student Handbook on p. 33 “In order to determine conflict, the final examination schedule is published after the 14th day of classes.”  This is to allow us to pull the final 14th day class rosters for comparison.  It usually takes a couple weeks to complete this task and generate a schedule.  Therefore, Fall exam schedules are typically posted around the first of October.  Please continue to watch the Law School Announcements and your zip.uakron.edu emails for the release of the fall exam schedule.

ASP Workshops: Briefing Case Law and Legal Synthesis

The Office of Academic Success will be offering two workshops next week: Briefing Case Law and Legal Synthesis. If you are would like a bit of guidance with figuring out what your professor is looking for in asking you to read and understand cases, these are the workshops for you!   These events will be held in Room 301 (3rd floor of the Library) on 9/11 (5pm-6pm) and 9/12 (1:10 pm-2:10pm).  Please join us for helpful tips on surviving your first semester in law school! There are materials associated with these workshops that you must complete in advance to receive the greatest benefit from the workshops.  As a result, you must RSVP in order to attend!   To RSVP, please email Ms. Palmer-Schmitz at dpalmer1@uakron.edu.
