Pro Bono of Limited Means Opportunity!

PRO BONO LIMITED MEANS: The Summit County Legal Defender Office is searching for volunteers in their juvenile division. Volunteers are needed Monday-Friday from 6:30am until 8:30am. Volunteers may have the option to stay passed 8:30am to observe detention hearings at the Juvenile Court. Volunteers will have the opportunity to be trained in JDAI, The Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative that is currently being implemented throughout several Ohio counties, including Summit County, before becoming a national movement. This opportunity will allow students interested in Criminal Law, Family Law, or Juvenile Law a valuable resume experience, as JDAI will become a National Movement near current law students graduation dates. This opportunity is open to ALL law students, 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L of any concentration or interest. Volunteers may choose their days to volunteer, as many or as little that fit into their schedules. Law students interested in this volunteer opportunity may contact Jessica Replogle, the JDAI Student Coordinator for the Summit County Legal Defender via email at jfr10@zips.uakron.edu.
