This letter describes a scenario whereby new/young attorneys are targeted by out of state credit repair and foreclosure rescue operations to act at the Ohio “face” for and assist in their consumer fraud. Disciplinary Counsel v. Lorenzon resulted in a six-month stayed suspension.
GWR Credit Available for Law and Theology
Need to fulfill the GWR requirement? Although the registration materials did not show it, GWR credit will be available for Prof. Belsky’s Law and Theology Seminar, in which he will be using his own book. This is a paper course, particularly well-suited to the GWR.
Westlaw and Lexis Printing During Winter Break
The University will be closed beginning Saturday, December 22 and will reopen on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. This means that the Law Library will also be closed. If you plan on conducting research on Lexis or Westlaw during break, please do not send your print jobs to the Westlaw or Lexis printers in the Law Library. You may wish to print to your attached printer or download your work to your computer instead.

Pro Bono of Limited Means Opportunity – Summit County Legal Defender Office seeks volunteers
The Juvenile Law program is holding a training session/meeting for anyone interested in volunteering in the future or currently volunteering to assist the Summit County Legal Defender Office at the Juvenile Courts. Attorney Jennifer Lin will run the session and will be assisted by someone from the Children’s Law Center. The head of the Legal Defender Office Joe Kodish will also be present. Donuts and muffins will be provided.
