Akron Law is hosting the ACTL National Trial Competition from Friday, February 15, 2013 through Sunday, February 17, 2013. Volunteer witnesses and bailiffs are needed for each round of the competition. Each trial is approximately 2-3 hours. Participating law students will receive community service credit. Interested volunteers should state a time preference from the following: Friday February 15 at 5:00 p.m.; Saturday February 16 at 9:00 a.m.; Saturday February 16 at 1:00 p.m.; Sunday February 17 at 9:00 a.m.
Remedies Offerings for 2013-2014 Academic Year
As you begin to make plans for your 2013-2014 schedule, please keep in mind that Remedies will not be offered in Fall 2013.
Summer 2013 and Fall 2013 schedules will be released sometime in March prior to the start of registration.

Greater Cleveland International Lawyers Group Luncheon to be held on January 22- Akron Law students invited. Great networking opportunity!
All Akron Law students are invited and encouraged to attend the Henry T. King Greater Cleveland International Lawyers Group luncheon to be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the City Club, 850 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. Stephen Anway of Squire Sanders will present on “Current Issues in Investment Treaty Arbitration and International Commercial Arbitration”. Lunch charge is only $10.00 for students with an advance reservation which is due this Friday, January 18 at 12 noon.

If you plan to drop a class, please familiarize yourself with the University of Akron’s refund policy and dates located at: http://www.uakron.edu/student-accounts/refunds/. Also please keep in mind that the last day a law student can drop a class is March 3, 2013. Please be aware that the School of Law’s final drop date is earlier than the main University’s.
