Fed. Soc. Event Delayed to 1:45pm

Unfortunately, Prof. David Bernstein, guest speaker for today’s Fed. Soc. event, has once again experienced flight delays out of D.C.  Nevertheless, Bernstein has graciously offered to take a different flight into Akron-Canton instead of Cleveland.  His projected arrival time is now 1:10pm.   I anticipate an event start time of 1:45pm.

Chick-fil-a will still be served.  And it will still be a great event.  Please consider that the price of two airline tickets has now been invested in this trip.  Prof. Bernstein has gone above and beyond to accommodate us.  The greatest thanks we can give him is an audience.

Bar Examination Misconduct Awareness

The New Youk Board of Bar Examiners has asked the Akron Law administration to  assist in alerting our students who plan to take the New York Bar Examination to read Board Rule 6000.9 on Fraud, Dishonesty and other Misconduct and Security Policy.

The Board routinely imposes penalties on candidates who are found to have violated these provisions.  Examples are included in their letter found here:  http://www.uakron.edu/dotAsset/2284757.pdf.

Although this is directed at New York bar takers, you need to be aware of the misconduct policy for the state you plan to take the bar.  For assistance finding your state’s policy, go to the National Conference of Bar Examiner’s website (http://www.ncbex.org/bar-admissions/) and choose your jurisdiction.
