Sponsored by the Student Bar Association. All proceeds to benefit the Akron Food Bank.

WHEN: Saturday April 7th, 2012

START/FINISH: LOCK 3 Downtown Akron

COURSE: The 5K course will run through downtown Akron and along the Towpath.

Water will be provided on the course and at the finish line.

SCHEDULE: Registration begins at 8am; Race begins at 9am; Awards at 10:30am

AWARDS: Top Three Overall Finishers (male & female), Fastest Lawyer (male & female), Fastest Law Student (male & female)

FEES: $20 pre-registration fee includes a T-shirt; $25 race day registration fee.

Fall 2012 Schedule Posted on Web

The Fall 2012 Schedule is now posted on the School of Law website at:  https://www.uakron.edu/law/curriculum/registration.dot.  This information includes the Schedule Board to give you a visual layout of the schedule, the Schedule with course numbers and footnotes, highlights on what is being offered new this fall and course descriptions broken down by Professor and subject.  Please carefully read all materials.  You are able to go into Zipline and place classes into your registration “shopping cart” at this time.  We have not yet been informed on when registration will begin for Fall.

Juvenile Interview Program Information Session – March 31, 10 am, W-206

On Saturday, March 31, 2012 there will be an informational session from 10 AM till noon in  West Hall 206. The purpose of this informational session is to train  interested students to interview juvenile clients at the juvenile courthouse on Dan Street in Akron Ohio. The juvenile court house is about a five minute drive from campus. This program was started last year and has allowed law students to be trained to interview juveniles awaiting a release hearing. You will gather facts about the clients in the early morning hours (7:30-9:00 a.m.) of each weekday and then share that information with the appointed attorneys.

The informational session will introduce you to the program. We will use a video we have previously created to train you. Students who are interested in volunteering or getting pro bono hours are especially requested to attend. If you have  questions please contact Professor Carro at 330-972-7751.
