The Admissions Office is seeking law students to assist at the Dean’s Welcome Luncheon for Admitted Students on June 18, 2011. Volunteers are requested as follows:
Check-In and Welcome – 11:00am – 12:00 pm: One or two students are needed to assist with check-in of our guests. This will involve distributing information packets, shaking hands, smiling, and being friendly.
Library Tours – 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm: Several students are needed to guide library tours. You will be stationed at the information desk in the library where you will offer to give tours to admitted students as they enter the library. If you have never given a tour before, don’t worry – I will provide you with notes to help you along.
Akron Law Points of Interest Stations 12:30 -1:30pm: Several students are needed to assist at the Akron Law Points of Interest Stations that will be positioned throughout the law school. Students will assist the Clinic, Academic Success, Career Planning and other offices with the dissemination of material and discuss their experiences with admitted students.

Greetings to all of our alums-in-waiting. We have received an alumni donation that will allow us to offer a student table at the upcoming Alumni Awards and Class Reunion Dinner (Friday, May 13 at the UA Student Union beginning at 5:30 p.m.). Seats at this table are available at no charge to the student and his or her guest. By attending this dinner, students have the opportunity to meet with many alumni in varying practice areas.
