New Student Mixer – Aug. 20, 2010, 8 pm, the Lounge

On Friday, August 20, at 8 pm, the Student Bar Association will host a social in the back room of The Lounge after the orientation dinner for incoming 1Ls. The Lounge is located in downtown Akron just off of Exchange street next to 69 Taps. The gathering will give a chance for student mentors to get a chance to better know the incoming students outside an academic setting. All entering and returning law students are invited.

Hiring Criteria:  1L (part-time), 2L, 3L Students.  Applicants must have undergraduate degree that enables them to take the Patent Agent Exam, but having passed that exam is not a prerequisite. Preferred undergraduate degrees, in order, are Electrical Engineering, BioChemistry/Life Sciences/Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering

 Duties:  50% litigation support and 50% intellectual property prosecution; 10-20 hours per week subordinated to course work and students.
