PAD – Red Cross Blood Mobile – Mar. 30, 11-5
Phi Alpha Delta has arranged for the Red Cross to come to campus with the blood mobile on March 30 from 11 am to 5 pm. The blood mobile will be parked outside the law school in the surface parking lot by West Hall.

Scholarship Application to help fund a Bar Review Course
(BAR/BRI or Supreme Bar Review – for OHIO exam only)
Limited scholarships are available for Akron Law students who can demonstrate financial need to help fund BAR/BRI or the Supreme Bar Review course in preparation for the OHIO bar exam. Amounts will vary depending on fund availability. The Akron Law Bar Review Scholarship Committee will select candidates based on a variety of factors. Only students who have great financial need who otherwise could not afford to take a bar review course should apply for this bar review scholarship.

Fed. Society – Citizens United Debate – Mar. 23 at 12:15
On March 23 at 12:15 in room 151, The Federalist Society will sponsor a debate between Prof. Allison Hayward of George Mason University and Prof. Aynes of The University of Akron School of Law Center for Constitutional Law about the recent Supreme Court decision in the Citizens United case. Food will be provided.
Scholarship Opportunities – Stark Community Foundation
Please be advised that scholarship dollars are available for law students from Stark County, Ohio, through four
legal scholarship funds at Stark Community Foundation. The scholarship opportunities are as follows:
The Judge and Mrs. Robert D. Horowitz Legal Scholarship Fund – applicants must demonstrate a background ofpublic service through volunteer activities or work experience.
The Samuel Krugliak Legal Scholarship Fund – applicants must have a desire to pursue the practice of law in the Stark County region.
The Sanders J. Mestel Legal Scholarship Fund – applicant must be a third year law student with an interest in trial advocacy.
The Stark County Bar Association Scholarship Fund – applicant is likely to return to Stark County to practice law.
Applications are available on the Foundation’s website at www.starkcommunityfoundation.org. Each fund varies
by dollar award, number of awards per year and complexity of criteria for selection.
