The Natural Disaster Relief Scholarship, offered by the OVC Scholarship Network, supports students who have experienced the impact of federally recognized natural disasters within the past 10 years. Eligible events include hurricanes, floods, wildfires, tornadoes, earthquakes, and similar disasters.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be at least 17 years old
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be currently enrolled or accepted as an undergraduate, graduate, or law student at an accredited U.S. institution
  • Must have personally, or through immediate family, experienced a U.S. natural disaster within the past 10 years

Application Requirements:

  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance (e.g., class schedule, acceptance letter, or unofficial transcript)
  • A headshot photo
  • A 3–5 minute video essay addressing:
    • The specific disaster that affected the applicant and/or their family
    • The ongoing impact of the disaster
    • How the scholarship would support recovery and educational goals

This $1,000 scholarship is awarded each semester to a deserving student who demonstrates a passion for assisting families through legal challenges.​

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the Fall 2025 Empowering Families Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a permanent resident of the United States
  • Be enrolled or planning to enroll in a pre-law undergraduate program for the Fall 2025 semester
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher​

Application Requirements:

Applicants are required to submit the following:

  • Proof of undergraduate enrollment
  • Proof of enrollment in a pre-law course of study
  • Proof of GPA
  • A 90-second video essay (YouTube link) addressing the prompt: “How will you use your legal education to positively impact families facing divorce or other family law challenges?”​

Application Deadline:

All application materials must be submitted by 11:59 PM on August 13, 2025. The scholarship recipient will be notified by September 15, 2025.​

Elmore Law Office Scholarship for Aspiring Law Students

Elmore Law Office is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to support aspiring legal professionals. This opportunity is open to pre-law undergraduate students and first-year law students who plan to attend an accredited U.S. institution in the fall of 2025.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be accepted to or enrolled in a pre-law undergraduate program or entering law school in fall 2025
  • Must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0

Application Materials:

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must submit the following by August 15, 2025:

  • A completed resume
  • A typed essay (1–3 pages) on a legal topic of the applicant’s choice
  • A full copy of academic transcripts
  • An acceptance letter from a U.S. school
  • Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, or permanent resident card; social security cards will not be accepted)

Award Details:

The $1,000 scholarship is intended for tuition and related educational expenses. Funds will be issued directly to the selected recipient, who will be required to submit appropriate receipts in compliance with IRS guidelines. The scholarship recipient will be notified around September 1, 2025.
