The National LGBTQ+ Bar has recently launched a scholarship program for LGBTQ+ and ally law students. Three scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded annually; all current and incoming students with a commitment to LGBTQ+ equality are encouraged to apply. Applications are now open for the 2021-2022 school year, and will close on April 1, 2021. Emery Reddy Legal Studies Scholarship Opportunity
Applicants will write a 250-500 word essay on why they are pursuing a career in legal studies and/or why they are interested in the legal field. The award will be sent directly to the school to assist with the successful applicants’ tuition payments.
Requirement: Essay submission of 250-500 words on why they are pursuing a degree in legal studies. Student must be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited US university or college and be in good standing.
Deadline: November 30 by midnight PST, annually
Essay limit: 250-500 words
Award Amount: $2,500
