NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS TO THE 2014 EDITION
The Selected Papers of the Ohio Valley Shakespeare Conference is a peer-reviewed journal indexed in the MLA International Bibliography and available in both electronic and in print forms. Essays submitted for publication must have been read at the most recent annual Ohio Valley Shakespeare Conference to be eligible for consideration. Essays should be between 3500 and 5000 words and submitted electronically to the editor as an attachment to an email cover letter.

All manuscripts must conform to the most recent MLA Handbook, with parenthetical documentation, minimal endnotes, and a Works Cited page or pages. For Shakespeare references, please use standard MLA title abbreviations with Arabic numbers for act, scene, and line numbers, e.g., (Lr . 5.1.12-18).
The timeline from submission to publication follows:
| 19 January 2015 | Last day to submit manuscripts electronically to the editor. |
| 6 April 2015 | Reader Evaluations sent to all who submitted manuscripts. |
| 3 August 2015 | Last day to send revised essays electronically to the editor. |
| 19 January 2016 | Electronic publication of fifth volume. |
Reader evaluations will contain one of the following decisions: (1) Accepted; (2) Not Accepted; (3) Accepted Pending Revisions. A designation of (1) or (2) ends the process. Essays receiving a designation of (3) must be resubmitted in revised form by 3 August. These revisions must be approved by the Editorial Board before the essay is published.
