FINANCIAL AID LOANS FOR SUMMER 2010 ENROLLMENT

Need summer loan money to pay for tuition, fees, other expenses? Here are a few things to consider:

In order to receive student loans for the summer term, law students need to be enrolled in at least 5 semester hours. We understand that there are two private lenders which may still offer student loans for those students who plan to enroll in fewer than 5 semester hours for the summer term:

CitiAssist – (www.studentloan.com)
Discover Loans – (www.discoverstudentloans.com)

If you have not yet applied for summer 2010 financial aid loans, please do so through the UA Financial Aid Office at  http://www.uakron.edu/finaid/summer.php. Of course, you must first submit your FAFSA which may be done at  http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. The University of Akron School Code is 003123.

Remember that whatever funds you borrow through the Stafford loan program for summer 2010 will be factored against your maximum Stafford loan allocation for fall 2010 and spring 2011 semesters.

Questions regarding your summer 2010 LOANS should be addressed to Associate Director of Financial Aid & Enrollment Services Pamela Arrington at pamela8@uakron.edu.
