Wills for Heroes – Saturday, January 21, 2012

To all students and faculty:

Please consider helping with the Wills for Heroes program as outlined in the materials located here. The law school has been involved in this ever since its inception. Through this program we provide vital information to first responders; police, firefighters and EMS personnel. This program was created following the recognition that so many of those who responded to the 9/11 attacks did not have wills or other life choice documents. As a student you will interview prospective clients, gather information to be shared with the attorneys and will input data into a specially designed computer program to yield a variety of documents. These will include living wills, wills, and powers of attorney.

If you are a faculty member and are licensed in Ohio you can give legal advice to these clients. If you are not licensed in Ohio you can still help.

Please contact Professor Carro at carro1@uakron.edu by December 23, 2011 if you would like to help. Thank you.
