Zion Lutheran Church of Akron, in partnership with Building Hope in the City, is sponsoring a “Be the Church” day in Akron on Saturday, August 25th from 8-4. After gathering at Zion for registration, opening announcements, and a kick-off service, you will be given the opportunity to go and work at a number of different organizations in the downtown Akron area to serve according to your skills. Registration for the event is $15.00. You will receive a t-shirt and a boxed lunch.
