Michael D. Hill, 1983 University of Akron School of Law graduate and award-winning author and historical researcher, will be at the University on November 13th from 4:00 – 4:50 PM to speak and sign books in Olin Hall Auditorium.

While admission is free, gifts are welcome and will benefit The George W. Knepper Endowed Lecture Series.

Moot Court Honor Society Welcomes Attorney Clair Dickinson

 Please join the Moot Court Honor Society on Wednesday, November 13 from 5:15pm-6:15pm in L-152 as we welcome Attorney Clair Dickinson to speak about appellate practice. Mr. Dickson is a widely respected partner in Brouse McDowell’s appellate and litigation groups and a former Ninth District Court of Appeals Judge. The meeting is open to all students but mandatory for Moot Court members.

Judicial Externships Available for the Spring Semester

Professor Spring has  unfilled externships for the Spring Semester with area trial and appellate judges.  Second and third year students in the top 40% are encouraged to apply by November 8th.  The externships are for credit and can be for either 2 credit hours (requiring 90 hours worked) or 3 credit hours (120 hours to be worked).  Please complete the Clinical Seminar Application Form and forward an updated resume to him by November 8th in order to be considered.  These positions offer great experience, valuable networking opportunities and are viewed favorably by prospective employers.
