MCHS Internal Competition: Monetary Prizes Doubled Due to Generosity of Recent Alumnus

While in law school, Elliott Lewis (’13) was a two-time winner of Akron Law’s Internal Moot Court Competition. Inspired by his own experience as a competitor, Elliott recently made a generous contribution to Akron Law to double the monetary prizes that are awarded to the first and second place advocates. As a result of his generosity, prizes of $500 and $200 will be awarded to this year’s first and second place advocates.

This year’s competition will take place on April 12, 2014. For more details or to sign up, please email Loren Fekete (ldf13@zips.uakron.edu) or Theresa Rakocy (tar43@zips.uakron.edu).

The Moot Court Honor Society Internal Competition is Open to All! Two Cash Prizes!
MCHS’s internal competition is right around the corner! The competition involves an “oral only” closed-research problem, meaning competitors neither do research, nor write a brief. The winner will receive a $500 cash prize, and the runner-up will receive $200. The competition will be held on Saturday, April 12th (Don’t worry. You’ll still have plenty of time to get ready for Barristers). Lunch will be served to competitors.
