The American Inns of Court Warren E. Burger Prize is a writing competition designed to promote scholarship in the areas of civility, professionalism, ethics, and excellence. Interested authors are asked to submit an original, unpublished essay of 10,000-20,000 words on a topic that addresses one of the areas listed above. The author of the winning essay receives a $5,000 cash prize and publication in the South Carolina Law Review. The submission deadline is July 1, 2017.
