*Expungement Clinic Seeking Student Volunteers*-Pro Bono Hours Available

The Expungement Clinic helps low-income Summit County residents seal the record of their criminal convictions.  A sealed record enables many people better access to jobs, housing, and volunteer opportunities.  Students will learn integral skills in the legal field including record searches, reading court dockets, completing applications to file with the court, and interviewing real clients.     Please keep in mind we can only accept a limited amount of students for each clinic.

UPCOMING CLINIC:

Saturday June 17, 2017

8:00am- 12:00pm

Oriana House

213 E. Glenwood Ave.

Akron, Ohio

All hours qualify as ProBono of Limited Means.     There will be a mandatory training session. We will schedule the training the week of June 12-16 once we receive feedback from volunteers. Please indicate your availability for training in the email. The training will last 45-60 minutes.  Interested students or questions please RSVP to Professor Heather Staab at hstaab@uakron.edu.

THANK YOU!
