Bar Exam: Early Start & Last opportunity for MPT simulation
Last workshop for the July Bar Exam
Tuesday, July 10 (L-325) @ 1:30 /Wednesday, July 11 (L-325) @ 6:30 – MPT Exam Simulation:
Every year, a few foolhardy souls never get around to writing any MPT essays until the morning of the first day of the bar exam. That doesn’t usually end well. Take advantage of the opportunity to write an MPT essay under exam conditions. (There will be different MPTs for Tuesday and Wednesday, and I’ll do my best to choose an essay that was not used by any vendor this year, and was not used in ALA in 2017-18, or as an alternate MPT for those of you who did the full exam sim last week.) Sign up here so I bring enough food.
Early Start Study Groups (essay writing)
- L-325 – Tuesday 6:30; Thursday 1:30: This week: Con Law (commerce clause)
- L-325 – Thursday 6:30; This week: (Civ Pro)
- L-325 – Saturday 10:30 – Issue spotting marathon? If you’re up for it, we’ll run through as many essays as we can – issue spotting (but not writing), take a break for lunch, then keep going as long as you want.
- You may participate in the Early Start groups remotely. WebEx: https://uakron.webex.com/join/nlr22
Half-day Hangout (Outside of L-325)
Homemade food (sloppy joes, multiple varieties of hummus, veggies, and freshly baked bread). Some of you have expressed interest in an issue spotting marathon in lieu of writing a single essay Saturday morning. We’ll break for food around noon, then we can do more issuse spotting or whatever else is useful.
Intended primarily for people taking the bar exam ths July, but anyone who wants to get a head start on a future bar exam is welcome to join us.
