Ohio – Rural Practice Clerkship Program – Ohio State Bar Association

AkronLawJobs No. 12056: This is an unusual time in your law school career, and we hope that you are finding ways to safely connect with your friends and take care of yourself. We would typically have visited your campus to introduce you to OSBA attorney members and our team. While we cannot meet with you in person, we are still working to create opportunities that are beneficial for your legal career. There are communities in Ohio with few attorneys. This impacts access to justice for the residents in those areas. The OSBA hosts the Rural Practice Clerkship Program (RPCP) to help address such challenges. RPCP is an introduction for law students who plan to live and work in rural communities. During the 10-week program, you will gain real-life experience in the practice of law under the mentorship of   seasoned professionals as well as   the opportunity to network with legal professionals and other community leaders. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and following state government guidelines. We will keep you informed of any modifications to the program.
How to Apply: We invite you to apply for this program by submitting the program cover form (found on Symplicity), your resume, and a one-page statement about why you are interested in practicing in a rural community after law school. Please send your application to Kelli Bray (kbray@ohiobar.org).
