Overview: The Farmer & Klopfer Road to Recovery Scholarship supports students who have suffered a severe injury or whose parent has suffered a major injury. The scholarship is offered twice each year and provides $1,000 to one student per semester to assist with educational expenses.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have suffered a serious injury or have a parent who suffered a serious injury, such as a major fracture, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or amputation.
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program within the United States.
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
Application Requirements:
- Completed online scholarship application.
- Documentation proving enrollment or intent to enroll in a college or university.
- Proof of the injury.
- A 500-word essay describing the impact of the injury on the applicant’s life, how they responded to it, and what changes it has forced them to make in daily life.
- Essay should be attached in .docx format.
- Applications must be submitted through the scholarship application page.
