Overview: The Stroleny Law Defenders of Justice Scholarship supports students who are interested in criminal defense and have gained experience in the criminal justice system. The scholarship is intended for students who have interned with a state attorney, public defender, or private criminal defense firm and are committed to pursuing justice through the legal profession.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be currently interning for or have previously interned at the office of a state attorney, public defender, or private criminal defense firm.
- Must have an interest in criminal defense.
- Must meet the enrollment requirements listed on the scholarship application page.
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
Application Requirements:
- Completed online scholarship application.
- Proof of current or prior internship experience with a state attorney, public defender, or private criminal defense firm.
- Proof of enrollment at an accredited college, university, or law school.
- A 750-word essay responding to the scholarship prompt.
- Applications must be submitted through the scholarship application page.
