Overview: The DM Family Law Legacy of Education Scholarship honors educators and their families by supporting students who are children of licensed teachers, professors, or other educators. The scholarship provides $1,000 to help one eligible student with educational expenses, including tuition, class materials, and other costs directly connected to completing a degree.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be the child of a licensed teacher, professor, or other educator.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program within the United States.
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States.
Application Requirements:
- Completed online scholarship application.
- Proof of enrollment at an accredited institution, such as an acceptance letter, unofficial transcript, or similar documentation.
- Evidence of the applicant’s most recently achieved GPA.
- An essay of approximately 500 words responding to the prompt: Describe how your parent’s career as an educator impacted your academic pursuits. What have you learned from your parent to further your own education?
