Overview: The Coover & Associates Parents With Passion Scholarship supports single parents who are pursuing higher education while balancing the responsibilities of raising their children. Inspired by Attorney Sheri Coover’s experience working through college as a single parent of four children, this scholarship provides $1,000 to assist with tuition, class materials, and other educational expenses.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a single parent.
- Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program within the United States for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
Application Requirements:
- Completed online scholarship application.
- Proof of enrollment at an accredited institution.
- Documentation of the applicant’s achieved GPA.
- Headshot.
- An essay of approximately 750 words responding to the prompt: Why did you decide to go to college as a single parent? How does attending and pursuing your college degree affect your children? How would obtaining a college degree affect your family?
- Applications must be submitted through the scholarship application page by April 28, 2027, at 11:59 p.m.
