*Expungement Clinic Seeking Student Volunteers*
The Expungement Clinic helps low-income Summit County residents seal the record of their criminal convictions. A sealed record enables many people better access to jobs, housing, and volunteer opportunities. Students will learn integral skills in the legal field including record searches, reading court dockets, completing applications to file with the court, and interviewing real clients.

City of Barberton volunteer opportunity – community service limited means hours
The City of Barberton participates in the Continuum of Care Coalition for Summit County. Every year this group organizes a “point-in-time” count. This is a count on a single day of the people in a community who are experiencing homelessness that includes both sheltered and non-sheltered populations.
Volunteers are needed to complete street counts and counts at meal sites. The count will take place on January 29th, 2019. Shifts are available for morning, lunch, and evening. Training will take place to prepare you on January 22, 2019 and January 24, 2019.
Donations are also needed to give to the homeless. The following items are being requested: socks, gloves, scarves, hats, snack items and protein food items. Donations can be dropped off at United Way, 37 N High Street, Akron, Ohio 44311. Last day of donation drop off is January 24th, 2019.
