Summer Internship with Western Reserve Land Conservancy (outside of Cleveland)

AkronLawJobs No. 8088  Overview: Western Reserve Land Conservancy, a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to preserving the natural resources of northern Ohio, seeks a legal intern to assist with legal research, drafting of legal documents and correspondence, and other tasks related to real estate law, conservation law, corporate law and tax law.

Duties:  The internship will be located at the Land Conservancy headquarters in Moreland Hills, Ohio. The start date and the length of the internship is negotiable, but must be a minimum of ten weeks. M-F Full-time.

Qualifications: The qualified candidate will ideally have completed two years of law school but must have completed at least one year of law school and will have a demonstrated commitment to the Land Conservancy’s mission. The ideal candidate will also have completed coursework in real estate, corporate, tax, land use, estate planning and/or non-profit organizational law. This person must have strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills, and an ability to be a team player, working effectively across multiple teams. This person must demonstrate a “solutions-oriented” mindset, with an ability to organize, analyze and communicate information that can be used to make effective business decisions.
