See below for contact information.

The agenda for the training being offered by a US Patent & Trademark Office representative at the Akron-Summit County Public Library on Friday, October 1 is available here. While the agenda says the training is for librarians, it is open to interested law students or faculty.

Graduation Applications Due TOMORROW, September 15

ALL LAW GRADUATION CANDIDATES FOR MAY 2011 MUST APPLY FOR GRADUATION BY SEPTEMBER 15.

Graduation Applications must be submitted as follows:

A law student with a valid UAnet ID and password will able apply for graduation in ZipLine. This feature will be complemented by the utilization of the “to-do list” function in the ZipLine Student Center.

The self-service graduation application replaced the printed application for all undergraduate and law students. Printed graduation applications will no longer be accepted by the Office of the University Registrar. ZipLine will encourage students to verify the accuracy of their college, major(s) and minor(s) before submitting an application, and will provide directions for remedying problems that prevent the submission of a graduation application, allowing students to track the progress of their degree clearance. Even though graduate students will still need to submit a completed Advancement to Candidacy to the Graduate School, they will be able to track the progress of their degree clearance in their “to-do list.”

Undergraduate and law students will be able to use the Graduation Services link in the “Quick Links for Students” section of ZipLine for step-by-step instructions for applying for graduation. Questions and comments are always welcome and may be directed to the Office of the University Registrar at 330-972-8300 or registrar@uakron.edu.

Questions regarding this new feature may be directed to Graduation Services at commencement@uakron.edu.
