All people trying out must give a short opening statement or a closing argument no longer than 5 minutes in length. The case that you will be arguing is a civil case, and the packet is also located in the Legal Clinic. The Law School School Democrats are having their first meeting on Monday, August 20 at 7pm at the law school, W-210. Clinical Externships Still Available
There are still for-credit externships available through the Clinical Seminar courses for the Fall Semester with Federal, Common Pleas, Municipal, Domestic Relations and Probate Court judges. There are also positions open with various Prosecutor’s offices, Legal Aid, the Public Defender as well as with some nonprofits. Those students interested in placement should complete the application and forward it to Professor Spring at gspring@uakron.edu by August 6, 2012. A student must work 90 hours to obtain 2 hours of credit and 120 hours for 3 credit hours.
