Applicant must have either a BS in Electrical Engineering or a BS in Computer Engineering. No other undergraduate majors will be considered. No particular GPA required. The job entails preparation and prosecution of patent applications, conducting correspondence with foreign associates and legal research. The Career Planning Office has just learned that a local law firm would like to begin interviewing Class of 2010 law school graduates for a possible entry level associate position for their asbestos practice. Must have a strong interest in litigating civil cases on behalf of injured workers. Preference is for candidates who have worked on actual cases through the legal clinic or who have excelled in pretrial and trial advocacy. The person hired will be expected to try civil cases in state and/or federal court within their first year of employment. MUST HAVE A STRONG INTEREST IN LITIGATION AND TRIAL WORK.
