Moot Court Honor Society Try-outs

Become a part of the Akron Law Moot Court Honor Society! This year we proudly participated in five competitions. We look forward to competing in a variety of competitions next year including IP specific competitions. We encourage all interested students to try-out.

Students in LARW II interested in trying out will need to notify their LARW II professor to indicate that they are using their oral arguments as their Moot Court try-out. Additionally, a copy of their LARW II brief will need to be sent to Emily Rich.

Students not currently enrolled in LARW II will be asked to prepare a seven-minute oral argument based on a short fact pattern that will be provided closer to the try-out date. In addition, students will be required to submit their LARW II brief as a writing sample. Oral arguments will be scheduled for after finals. Information regarding the exact try-out date will be forthcoming. Please email Emily Rich, eir9@zips.uakron.edu, to register for try-outs, submit your writing sample, and to ask any questions related to the Moot Court Honor Society
