An update has been made to the Summer 2018 Provisional Schedule.  The updated schedule is available on the Law Resources Brightspace page.

For those of you who don’t know how Super Bowl Squares work here is a quick explanation:

Super Bowl Squares is a 10X10 board with 100 squares each box corresponds with a number from 0-9 that will be randomly chosen after all 100 squares are filled. There will be an opportunity to win a percentage of the money at the end of each quarter.

SELS will be selling each square for $5. In order for this to work however we will need to fill all 100 squares!

If you are interested in participating please contact Haley Hunnewell hah40@zips.uakron.edu, Lindsey Harrison Madgar lmh150@zips.uakron.edu,  Justin Powell jtp71@zips.uakron.edu, Amanda Najjar acn27@zips.uakron.edu, or Natalie Rothenbeucher nnr5@zips.uakron.edu before Friday February 2nd! Even if you aren’t rooting for either team this is a great way to find some enjoyment out of the game!

Our next free Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE) clinic is Saturday, February 10, 2018!  We’re very excited to be providing opportunities for ex-offenders in Summit County to take a step toward gaining employment and independence!

We are looking for students to volunteer from 8:15am-12:45pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018.  The clinic will be held at The Chapel [135 S. Fir Hill St., Akron, OH 44304]. The time you volunteer can be applied toward your graduation requirement as pro bono limited means hours.

There will be a mandatory volunteer training on Friday, February 9 from 4:30-6:00pm for first timers. Location of the training will be announced the week of the clinic. The time you are at training will count towards your pro bono limited means hours as well. For those who have completed the training once before, you are more than welcome to attend the training for a refresher. However, you may not count the training towards your pro bono limited means hours again.
