BLSA invites you to Snack and Study Holiday Edition! This Thursday from 530-7 BLSA will host its last Snack and Study of the year in the Veterans Lounge. We will have a Holiday Themed Dinner from 530-6, From 6-7 we will have Exam Review Sessions covering 1L and 2L Subjects featuring Professor Cravens and Professor Gibson. All Students are welcome, please have your questions ready!

BLSA will be holding our last general body meeting of the semester TODAY at 515 in room 281. This meeting is MANDATORY FOR ALL TRIAL TEAM MEMBERS AND OFFICERS.

Akron Against Cancer would like to invite your student organization to Relay for Life. Relay for Life raises awareness and money for the American Cancer Society. The event is similar to an indoor carnival with games, food, a DJ and other surprises! The goal is to walk laps, raise awareness, honor survivors, remember loved ones, and unite the community through a fun evening!

Akron Against Cancer is hosting a Team Captain Meeting to share general information. Tuesday November 14th at 7pm in the Student Union room 308. Please attend we will talk about possible themes for the event and some steps to join the fight against cancer!

Apparel orders are in! Thank you for all who have purchased an order. SBA will begin distributing the orders next week. A table will be set up in the Lobby of the Law School each day next week (11/13/17 – 11/16/17) between 12:30 PM and 1:15 PM for day students and again from 4:45 PM to 6:30 PM for evening students. Please stop by to pick up your order and initial the sign-out sheet to show that you have received your order. Thank you again on behalf of SBA and we hope you enjoy your apparel!

Our next free Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE) clinic is Saturday, November 18, 2017!  We’re very excited to be providing opportunities for ex-offenders in Summit County to take a step toward gaining employment and independence!

We are looking for students to volunteer from 8:15am-12:45pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017.  The clinic will be held at the Johnson United Methodist Church [3409 Johnson Rd, Norton, OH 44203]. The time you volunteer can be applied toward your graduation requirement as pro bono limited means hours.

There will be a mandatory volunteer training on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 4:30-6:00pm for first timers. Location of the training will be announced the week of the clinic. The time you are at training will count towards your pro bono limited means hours as well. For those who have completed the training once before, you are more than welcome to attend the training for a refresher. However, you may not count the training towards your pro bono limited means hours again.
