Want an early start on your bar exam study? Skipped Secured Transactions? ASP has just the thing for you!
This week we’ll do a quick overview of the secured transactions concepts needed to write an answer for the February 2013 secured transaction Ohio Bar Exam question, and then we’ll write it together. You can find it here if you want a sneak preview (bottom drop-down box – look for the February 2013 exam, question 8)

The deadline for your application to take the February 2018 Ohio bar examination is November 1, 2017. The dates for the February 2018 bar examination are February 27, 28, and March 1, 2018. Please see the Supreme Court of Ohio Bar Admissions website for information here.

The group is intended primarily as a subject matter refresher, and an essay-writing skills practice for people preparing for the February (or July) bar exams. But you also might find it useful if you still haven’t quite gotten the hang of IRAC or CRAC, how to use the facts to help sort out which rules to recite, or how to use an outline to help you organize your hypo answers.

Weekly study groups on Thursday from 1PM – 3 PM and Saturday from 10:30 – 12:30. L-325
Drop in to either one. You don’t have attend same one each week, and you don’t have to commit to coming every week.
We’ll do a torts essay this week.
*You’re welcome to join us even if it isn’t this February or July you are taking the bar exam, and essay structure is pretty much the same everywhere so come even if you’re taking the bar exam in a state other than Ohio.

The deadline to take the February 2018 Ohio Bar Exam is Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

Part of this application is your Character Certificate. If you still need your Character Certificate, please email Mary Cooke at mec@uakron.edu.
Another part of the application is the Final Law School Certificate, which Law Student Affairs will send directly the Supreme Court of Ohio Bar Admissions Office after your degree is conferred on January 10, 2018. On that Final Law School Certificate, we will indicate whether or not you have attended the Substance Abuse Lecture, which is required to take the Bar Examination in Ohio.
