Anticipated time commitment: Ten hours per week

Duties: Will support projects related to the Lawyer to Lawyer Mentoring Program, which pairs new lawyers with experienced mentors as a way to satisfy mandatory New Lawyers Training. Will assist with the comprehensive update of the mentoring program curriculum, which includes extensive editing of the current program content and creation of new content to support the mentoring relationship. Will assist the Commission Secretary/Attorney Services Counsel in the revision process. You will be doing research, drafting, proofreading, and communicating orally and in writing with Court staff and Commissioners regarding this project. Will also assist the work of the Office of Attorney Services and Board on the Unauthorized Practice of Law in various research and drafting projects on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications: Must have completed at least two years of law school with an extensive background in research and writing (preferably student journalism or law review/journal experience), expertise with Word and Adobe software, excellent attention to detail, outstanding organizational ability, and strong interpersonal communication skills is preferred.

Salary: This is an UNPAID EXTERNSHIP.
