Cleveland Clinic Summer Associate Program (2Ls)

Beachwood, OH – 2018 Summer Associate – Cleveland Clinic

AkronLawJobs No. 8994 Overview: The Law Department of the Cleveland Clinic is now accepting applications for its 2018 Summer Associate Program. The Law Department is staffed by approximately 30 lawyers and an additional 50 support personnel and is located on the Beachwood Campus. Students will have an opportunity to work with Attorneys on a wide variety of matters that affect the legal interests of this international health referral center.

Areas of Study: The Summer Associates are required to complete a prescribed regimen of hands-on activities in all of the major areas of practice. The Summer Associates are also given the opportunity to attend various hospital committee meetings.

Practice areas will include: medical malpractice, risk management, hospital regulations and standards, clinical research, medical education, commercial transactions, real property, tax-exempt organizations, fraud and abuse, Stark, managed care contracting, conflicts of interest, labor and employment, and corporate compliance.

Qualifications: 2L. Prefer interest in pursuing a career in the healthcare field.
