ANDREW CORES FAMILY LAW GROUP Future Lawyers Scholarship-Deadline March 18, 2024

The Andrew Cores Family Law Group once per semester will be awarding a student $2,000 to use toward educational expenses related to tuition, textbooks, and room and board.  

The Future Lawyers Scholarship is awarded twice a year to a student who meets the following criteria: 

• Is enrolled or is planning to enroll in an accredited law school within the United States
• Achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher in their most recently completed academic semester
• Is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
• Is at least 17 years of age

2023 LMJ Scholarship Program

The LMJ Scholarship is a diversity pipeline program that seeks to nurture the academic and professional careers of outstanding diverse law students. The LMJ Scholarship program grants scholarships of $10,000 to students for their first year of law school. In addition to financial support, LMJ scholars are connected with and have access to MCCA’s extensive community of legal law firms and in house peers, alumni, and mentors, who are available to provide professional support, share opportunities and insights, and offer guidance on addressing academic and professional barriers.

GCEF Scholarship

The GCEF Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarships for LGBTQ+ and allied students throughout Northeast Ohio. Since 2016, the fun has awarded more than $45,000 in scholarships to help local students achieve their higher education goals.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be a student or resident in the geographic area served by GCEF, which includes Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Wayne counties.
  • Applicants must participate in organizations or initiatives that positively impact the LGBTQ+ community.

Scholarship amounts and the number of awards vary each year. Scholarships are eligible for renewal if the recipient maintains good academic status and reapplies by submitting a new application each year.
