LGBT Public Interest Scholarship Program

The LGBT Public Interest Scholarship Program is sponsored by the ABA

Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Commission.

Criteria:

If you are a recent law student and/or law school graduate studying for the Bar, and either identify as LGBTQ, or plan to work in the LGBTQ space doing public interest work which may include, but not be limited to, working for Community Based Organizations (“CBO’s”); Non- Governmental Organizations (“NGO’s); policy work in a governmental and/or non-governmental setting; doing academic research, teaching or the like; or any other type of program that helps to promote and protect the Rule of Law and the civil and human rights of LGBTQ persons.

The Scholarship will provide financial support to a first, second or third year law student, or recent law graduate to enable the student or recent law graduate to work in the LGBT public interest arena for the Summer and/or Fall of 2021.

One or more scholarships of up to $5000 each will be awarded annually, subject to the availability of funds and the recommendation of the commission’s Scholarship Committee.

The objective is to award scholarship(s) in time for recipient(s) to utilize the funds during Summer/Fall 2021.

The Behan Law Group, P.L.L.C., an Arizona law firm with a focus on criminal defense, is offering a $1,000-scholarship for the Fall 2021 semester to support military Veterans and their children in their pursuit of higher education throughout the United States.

Applications for The Behan Law Group Military Veteran Scholarship are open to U.S. military Veterans, current service members, and their children who:
• Are currently enrolled in or accepted to an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university
• Are continuing their education through • at least the Fall 2021 semester
• Are at least 18 years old
• Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5

We require that applicants submit an original 500- to 1,000-word essay answering the question: “How has your experience as a Veteran or the child of a Veteran influenced your academic and career goals? How do you plan to use your education to make a positive impact in your community?”

We’re very excited to tell you about a scholarship program “The Sacramento “Art of Healing” Scholarship 2021” for students.

Kanoski Bresney scholarship opportunity

Kanoski Bresney, our Central Illinois law firm, is offering five scholarship awards, each in the amount of $2,000, to support students throughout the U.S. who are starting or continuing their college or university education in the Fall 2021 semester.

We ask that applicants for the Kanoski Bresney Stand Up to Distracted Driving Scholarship submit an original essay of approximately 1,000 words in response to the prompt: “How has distracted driving affected your life? What ideas do you have to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving and prevent this behavior among young drivers?”
