The Student Bar Association would like to celebrate the end of the school year with a group Cleveland Indians game on May 13^th at 7:05p.m against the Seattle Mariners. It‘s Dollar Dog night and there will be fireworks. Tickets are $16 for Lower Box seats (regular price $36).We need at least 25 people to attend for the discounted tickets. Family and friends are welcome to come! If you are interested in tickets please sign up at the bulletin board outside the SBA office before 4pm on April 22^nd or contact Jennifer Ellison at jme43@zips.uakron.edu.

 

Female attorneys from Benesch Friedlander are coming to talk about being a woman in the legal field. This event will be Monday, April 18th at 12:15 p.m. in W-215. Free food!

ACLU will be holding elections for the next school year on April 20, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. Please come and vote!

Every semester, the Asian-Latino Law Students Association (ALLSA) hosts a community service project called Canned Immunity. In exchange of canned goods or monetary donations, ALLSA gives law students “immunity tickets” that make them immune from being called on in class. This year, we plan on donating our canned goods to the local Akron food bank, and our monetary donations to a charitable organization providing relief to victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. 2 cans or $1 will get you 1 immunity ticket. Find any of us at our booth in the cafeteria all throughout the week to check whether your professor is participating. Don’t be the only one caught without a ticket in class!!!!
