FBA Mentoring Committee Bar Exam Preparation and Summer Associate and Law Clerk Tips

This is the second in a series of meetings put on by the FBA – Northern District of Ohio Chapter Mentoring Committee to engage with law students and young practitioners on topics of interest while the FBA’s national mentoring program is on hold due to the pandemic.

Join us at 5:30 pm on June 1, 2021 via Zoom (link to be provided upon registration) for a discussion with three recent Ohio Bar Exam takers to discuss their experiences studying for the bar exam and taking it remotely, as well as to discuss tips for success as a summer associate or law clerk.  This event is free for all FBA members.

Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE) clinic

The legal clinic seeks volunteers for the Certificate of Qualification for
Employment (CQE) clinic. The clinic assists eligible clients remotely with
completing the CQE application. To participate in the opportunity, you must
attend training. The next training will be on May 27, from
6-7:30pm pm online.  Once trained law students can work on CQEs on their own
time with clients to earn pro bono of limited means hours. The training
will also count for those hours. If you have any questions or want to sign

This is a unique opportunity to work with general counsel and get hands-on experience with contract drafting and review, and assisting general counsel/corporate attorneys. Interest in contracts and corporate law is preferred but no prior experience is required.

Legal Internship open to rising 2Ls, 3Ls, and May Graduates. For May 2021 grads, part-time schedule while you study for the bar exam is available.
