Mercer University School of Law and the American Bar Association Commission on Disability Right will co-host an annual brief writing competition in honor of Mercer’s former legal writing professor, Adam Milani. The purposes of the competition are to promote greater interest in and understanding of the field of disability law and to encourage excellent legal writing skills in law students. The deadline for submission is June 11, 2021. 
 
First Prize will range between $300 and $1,000 

Briefs can be on any of the following topics:
Disability law; The Civil Rights Act of 1964; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; Age Discrimination in Employment Act; Family and Medical Leave Act; A state statute or municipal ordinance prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

The University of Akron School of Law participating in a feedback session with our partner, AccessLex Institute, a nonprofit membership organization comprised of nearly 200 nonprofit and state-affiliated ABA-approved law schools. AccessLex Institute is seeking feedback on MAX by AccessLex, its personal finance program just for law school students. You will provide your thoughts on various program elements, from content delivery, evaluation of media, tools, and resources, to helping improve the program for you and your fellow law students around the country.
