Rubber City Regional on November 1st & 2nd

“Rubber City Regional” AMCA undergraduate moot court competition, hosted by Akron Law.

Nov. 1-2, 2019

How you can be involved:

We need JUDGES and BAILIFFS!  If you have completed at least 1 semester of law school, please come be a JUDGE.  If you are a 1L, please come be a BAILIFF.

Your volunteer hours will count toward your law school community service requirement.

The Annual Barrister’s Ball – Saturday, November 9th

Barrister’s tickets are now on sale! Join your classmates and faculty for a fun and relaxing night at Tangier’s on Saturday, November 9th from 7-11pm! Tickets are $20 and will be available online only until Thursday, November 7th. They will not be available at the door. This event is a great opportunity to get to know your classmates, upper division students, and faculty. The dress is formal and there will be appetizers, late night pizza, dancing, a photo booth and a cash bar. Students are welcomed and encouraged to bring guests. 

The Assault on Drug Patents.

Please join the Federalist Society and IPTLA on Monday, October 28 at 12:15pm in room 180 for “The Assault on Drug Patents.” Professor Lietzan will explain the scientific and regulatory burdens that medicine developers face, the role of patents in encouraging new medicine discovery and development, and the way medical innovation is incremental. 

Commentary will be provided by Professor Hrdy.

Lunch will be provided!
