Irish Professor to speak at UA Law

Professor Dermot Cahill is coming all the way from Ireland to talk to us about Brexit – the United Kingdom’s controversial decision to withdraw from the European Union. If you’re indifferent about this topic now, you won’t be after Professor Cahill’s talk. Come see how Brexit affects Americans – Wednesday September 13th from 5:15 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. in room 180.

Professor Cahill is the co-director of the Ireland/Wales Study Abroad Program many Akron Law students have attended over the last three years. If you’re considering studying for two weeks or four weeks in Ireland next summer, come meet Professor Cahill for an idea of what his class is like.

If you have questions about Professor Cahill’s talk or the Ireland/Wales Study Abroad Program, please contact Associate Professor Dana Cole at dkc@uakron.edu or (937) 219-1759.

A.L.I.C.E. Training on Tuesday!

Please plan to attend one of two A.L.I.C.E. (active shooter) training sessions scheduled in September.  The sessions are scheduled on Tuesday, September 19th at 12:00-1:00 pm and Friday, September 29th at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm in Room 160.  We certainly hope that we never need to use any of this training at the law school, but it is valuable information to know where ever you are. Please consider attending one of these sessions.
